Climbing Trees at Outdoor Elements

We have two Climbing Trees to take on here at Outdoor Elements. Each tree presents a slightly different challenge, with one being vertical up to 14 metres, and one slightly leaning back up to 12 metres and then overhanging at the top for a further 3 metres. Both trees start with a wobbly rope ladder to access the main climb. Climb as high as you want with the rope attached to the harness keeping you safe, being kept tight by the rest of your group, under the watchful eye of the instructor. Once you have reached the highest point you can, it’s time to descend. Sit back into the harness and let go of the tree, and the instructor can then lower you back to the forest floor in style. Have a go at both trees and push yourself to climb higher!

This is a great activity to experience the height and allows you to grow in confidence before taking on some of our other high elements.

Climbing trees gives the individual an opportunity to push their own comfort zones whilst being supported and encouraged by the rest of the group.

Suitable for ages 8 to adults.
